An essay by Kera Yonker inspired Lauren to develop the upcoming comedy feature, YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL, a comedy feature, co-written with Yonker, in which Lauren both directs and stars. A personal passion project in the best sense, YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL reflects Lauren’s strengths and both a storyteller and interpreter onscreen and effective leader and project manager offscreen.
The hilarious comedy series REALITY SETS IN grew from Lauren’s own humorous reflections on dating and maintaining career longevity as an (ahem) aging actress in New York City. A partnership with writer Scott Brooks blossomed and REALITY SETS IN was born.
